Women Run NYC - Live HURDLE podcast taping with Emily Abbate
Join us for Women Run NYC: A live Hurdle podcast evening honoring the women and femme leaders shaping New York City's running community, right in the heart of NYC Marathon week at Brooklyn Circus.
Whether you're toeing the start line Sunday or cheering from the sidelines, this is your invitation to come together to lean on one another, swap stories, and celebrate the women who make this city's running community what it is.
About Our Host Emily Abbate is a connector on a mission to empower women to live healthier, happier, and more motivated lives. Now a 16-time marathoner and wellness coach, the Brooklyn-based journalist, in-demand event and on-air host, and former Fitness Editor at SELF is the brains behind the top women's sports podcast Hurdle, acclaimed by The New York Times as "addictive."
About Our Guest Nnenna Lynch is a former elite middle-distance runner, five-time NCAA champion, and Rhodes Scholar. She made history as the first Black woman to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors for the New York Road Runners (NYRR). Emily and Nnenna will sit down for a live Hurdle podcast recording: a candid, vulnerable conversation about leadership, legacy, and what it means to shape the future of running in this city and beyond.
The evening will include a raffle for 2 Movemint race entries, charcuterie, craft drinks, and an aftertone telephone for you to leave us a message. What does women's leadership in sport mean to you? Tell us about a woman that inspires you. What does the future of women in sport look like to you? Powered by Tracksmith and Movemint. RSVP as space is limited.
